The Clinical Innovation Platform (CLIP) at the RI-MUHC is pleased to announce the residency of its first member company, AltPAP Innovation.

The CLIP, in the Montreal General Hospital, is designed to help health tech start-up companies develop and grow. In addition to newly renovated research and meeting space, the CLIP provides access to mentorship from industry experts, pre-clinical and clinical trial services, rapid prototyping, and laboratories for product development. The CLIP acts as a nexus point for teams developing new products, facilitating assessment of new technologies within a hospital setting.

The Clinical Innovation Platform is excited to announce that it is has officially launched! We are delighted to welcome our first member: AltPAP Innovation.

The mission of AltPAP Innovation is to ensure the support of emergent non-invasive oxygenation therapies for COVID-19 patients and facilitate their adoption in Canadian hospitals. The vaccination of populations worldwide will take time; meanwhile we need alternative therapies. That's where AltPAP comes in.

AltPAP Innovation plans to benchmark test oxygenation therapies, optimize their designs and train Respiratory Therapists. The CLIP is proud to support this company in its fight against COVID-19.
