✨ HAPPY NOVEMBER ✨
As the new month begins, I’m reflecting on what goals I set for Q4 2024.

I didn’t want to wait for the new year to get started. I figured why not try and I still healthy habits now? This way, when my mat leave is over in the new year, I’ve already got some good habits set!

Let’s see how it’s going so far:

✨ HEALTH ✨
In terms of workouts & walks, I’ve totally been killing it. I’ve consistently done 3 workouts a week in the last 4 weeks (shoutout to and ), walks have been done 1-2x a day, but for the yoga classes.. ouff.. I’m having a tough time taking the time to go 😅. With always being with the baby and my partner working, it’s a bit hard.
For the sugars, it’s been going decently well. I can’t say I’m perfect, but I’ve definitely cut down. Mostly only had it we were with guests or someone’s birthday :)

✨MENTAL✨
The reading, I went strong for the first two weeks, now it’s on and off unfortunately. However, if I don’t read one day, I somehow manage to read for a longer period of time the next day. So really it all rounds out 😃
For the hobby, I really wanted to do colouring books (yes, the TikTok people got to me lol), but I’m just so tired at the end of the day I just want to be a potato watching tv 🥔 📺
As for the earplugs, I feel guilty wearing them because what if I can’t hear the baby?? But I’ve been wearing them when his dad is home and it’s helped A LOT. I don’t have to hear the kitchen, the sports on tv, the dog, the baby all in full volume and it really helps me calm the mind. I might look into getting the engage because I think those would help with my fear of not hearing the baby hehe.

Hi friends! 👋 it’s been a while!
On holiday, I brought two books with me. And, honestly, I grabbed 2 books from my stack and just stuffed them in my luggage. Coincidentally, both these books complement each other beautifully! I started with “Grit” by & followed that read with “Confidence Code” by & Claire Shipman.
In the coming weeks, I’ll share some insights and learnings I gleaned from both books!
Although i realize this account is about “health” it doesn’t mean we can’t learn to be the best versions of ourselves and make the most of our time here on earth! Goal setting and taking action are basically what will help myself and yourself become the best we can be!

HAPPY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS! Who else had a rough start, but is happy daylight “lasts longer” now? ☀️
I recently finished the book 4% Fix by and essentially, it’s about how taking 4% of your day for yourself, your dreams, your goals. As someone who does wake up early, I’m not sure 5am like Karma would be easy for me. But the fact that she started and now is in the habit of getting up at 5 (well 4:45) so that she has 1 hour to herself for writing and any other project she has had allowed her to be the successful writer she is today.
Think about it. 1 hour a day is 4% of your entire day. What would you do with that time? I love reading, but I think I’ll try and adapt and learn something new. Maybe go take a nutrition or health coach course? (Online of course…because no I’m person school starts at 5am 😅)
It only takes 4% of your day to make a drastic difference in your life. What’s stopping you? What would you do?

This week's MEAL PLAN 🥗
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I typically like to plan my workouts and my meals ahead of time. It makes sure I stay healthy and fit, all while eliminating decision fatigue throughout the week.
Anyway, here's this week's meal plan. For recipes that have pasta, I typically add a side salad in the mix as well! I'm always on the lookout to get my veggies and protein in.
I'll try to share the recipes I use (if I use any) as I go. Most likely in stories!
My goal: try to share my meal plan every week! 💫
Also, let's address Freestyle Fridays. My boyfriend and I have decided that on Fridays, we don't necessarily plan to cook something. Why? Because, 1. we're tired from the week 2. it's the weekend and we might end up with plans 3. having someone else cook for us feels good! Ok we don't ALWAYS eat out or order in on Fridays, but we keep our options open.
