MoonDrop Yoga is a small, cozy, semi-private yoga studio situated on the 4th floor (unit 478) of the Chateau St-Ambroise (4020 Rue St-Ambroise) in St-Henri, Montreal. In addition to the teaching of asana (postures), our instructors also include pranayama (breathing techniques) and prolonged meditative relaxations in their classes in order to offer our clients the kind of practice that provides them with the full benefits of Yoga, both mentally and physically. CLASS DESCRIPTION
MoonDrop : This early bird’s class is focused on mediation and the power of concentration, which is in fact the ultimate goal of Hatha yoga: to be able to meditate and focus on the present moment. After starting with a few asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) to warm up the body, the teacher will guide a half-hour long meditation session to start the day off with better mindfulness. MoonLunch : This one hour class is mostly based on relaxation, stretches and a meditative practice of asanas. It will help you build strength and flexibility in the back muscles, the neck and the whole body. This class is perfect to get a break from the stress of work and to energize yourself for the second half of the day. MoonRise : These classes of one and a half hour are more intense. After sun salutations, the postures are held longer and the stretches are deeper. Breathing techniques and relaxation are also integrated to allow for the full benefits of yoga to kick in after a long day at work. A healthy back is a healthy life. MoonBreak : This is an hour long private yoga class given at your office (either on mats if the space allows it or on the office’s chairs while employees are sitting at their desk). This class is meant to raise the concentration and energy levels of your employees as well as help them to relax through breathing techniques. The main focus of these classes is to strength and stretch of the back and neck muscles. A short meditation session will take place at the end of the class. PrivateMoon : This is a private yoga class for beginners or advanced students who want to perfect or learn a proper yoga practice. The class is tailored to the needs of the student whether it be meditation, postures, flexibility or relaxation.
