Le port de votre prothèse temporaire après la chirurgie dépend du type de prothèse et de l’intervention réalisée.

Dans certains cas, elle peut être remise rapidement, mais dans d’autres, il est nécessaire d’attendre quelques jours pour éviter toute pression sur l’implant en cours de cicatrisation.

Assurez-vous toujours d’obtenir l’accord de votre dentiste avant de remettre votre prothèse afin d’éviter toute pression ou mouvement qui pourrait nuire à la cicatrisation.

Même si cela reste peu fréquent, l’implant dentaire peut échouer pour différentes raisons incluant une mauvaise cicatrisation, une infection autour de l’implant ou encore une surcharge mécanique (trop de pression).

Il est important de savoir que le respect des recommandations post-opératoires, une bonne hygiène buccale et un suivi régulier avec votre spécialiste réduisent considérablement ces risques, même s’ils se font rares.
