🧠 Obesity is a Chronic Disease: Like diabetes or high blood pressure, obesity is a chronic condition requiring ongoing management. Its impact extends to over 200 related health conditions, from heart disease to certain cancers, significantly affecting quality of life.

🧬 Obesity is Rooted in Biology, Not Willpower: Genetic, environmental, and social factors all contribute to obesity. It’s crucial to shift the focus from blame to understanding the complex biology behind it.

👶 Health Impacts Can Start Early: Early prevention is valuable, but it doesn’t guarantee prevention. For many, medical intervention is essential for long-term health.

💊 Obesity is Treatable: Evidence-based treatments—behavioural therapy, pharmacotherapy, and surgical options—are available. Effective care focuses on overall health rather than weight alone.
