🇬🇧: I’m not against hormonal contraception, I’m against uninformed prescriptions. Women deserve clear consent, full education about potential side effects, and individualized decisions, especially in a field where women’s health research is still underdeveloped. Birth control can be life-changing when chosen knowingly, but prescribing it casually as a one-size-fits-all “treatment” without proper discussion is where the real problem begins.

Les femmes mĂ©ritent un consentement Ă©clairĂ©, une explication claire des effets possibles et des dĂ©cisions adaptĂ©es Ă  leur rĂ©alitĂ©, surtout dans un domaine oĂč la recherche sur la santĂ© des femmes reste encore insuffisante. La contraception peut ĂȘtre une excellente option lorsqu’elle est choisie en toute connaissance de cause, mais la prescrire comme solution “par dĂ©faut” sans vraie discussion, c’est lĂ  que le problĂšme commence.

During the luteal phase, estrogen drops and progesterone rises.
Estrogen supports muscle building and recovery (anabolic), while progesterone increases muscle breakdown, fatigue, and stress on the system (catabolic).

That means during this phase, it’s harder to build or even maintain muscle.
Pushing maximal intensity here doesn’t build more, it can actually break muscle tissue down faster than your body can recover.

This isn’t the phase to punish your body.
It’s the phase to reduce intensity, prioritize form, volume control, and recovery.

Training with your cycle = protecting your gains, not losing them.

Pendant la phase lutĂ©ale, l’estrogĂšne diminue tandis que la progestĂ©rone augmente.
L’estrogĂšne favorise la construction musculaire et la rĂ©cupĂ©ration (anabolique), alors que la progestĂ©rone augmente la dĂ©gradation musculaire, la fatigue et le stress sur l’organisme (catabolique).

RĂ©sultat : durant cette phase, il est plus difficile de construire ou mĂȘme de maintenir du muscle.
Pousser à intensité maximale ne construit pas plus, ça peut au contraire détruire le tissu musculaire plus vite que le corps ne peut récupérer.

Ce n’est pas une phase pour punir ton corps.
C’est une phase pour rĂ©duire l’intensitĂ©, prioriser la qualitĂ© du mouvement, le contrĂŽle du volume et la rĂ©cupĂ©ration.

S’entraĂźner avec son cycle, c’est protĂ©ger ses gains, pas les perdre.
