THE ONTARIO GOVERNMENT AND THE COLLEGE OF MASSAGE THERAPISTS ANNOUNCED THAT THERE CAN BE A GRADUAL RETURN TO PRACTICE. HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING YOUR NEXT MASSAGE.
We are all very exciting to be able to gradually come back to work. We understand that there is some nervousness in this brave new world and we are doing our best to prepare. This is taking a bit of time therefor our start date will be Monday June 1st. This said the online booking is available.
When you book:
The risks of COVID are greater for those who are more vulnerable due to health issues and age, so it is important that you seriously consider whether the benefits of getting a massage outweighs any potential risk. If you do decide to book a massage a self-screening notice will appear, if you screen positive please don't book.
We will not be able to accommodate those who have accompanied a client to their massage outside of the clinic room, so if possible come unaccompanied.
Arriving:
Please come to the front door at your appointment time and I will meet you there.
You will need to have a mask on before coming in (disposable or reusable cloth). If you do not have one then one will be provided.
We will verbally go through the screening process with you to ensure that it is safe to continue.
You will need to visit either the washroom or the hand sanitizing station to clean your hands
Before leaving:
You will need to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer again before leaving.
If possible make payments through e-transfers or tap (VISA, MC or DEBIT). If you pay by cash, try to have the exact amount.
What to expect from us:
We will be suspending cancelation fees to ensure that clients don't come if they are not feeling well.
We will be wearing a disposable procedure mask throughout your treatment. As we have always done, we will be following hand washing and cleaning/disinfecting protocols in the clinic space as well as regularly cleaning and disinfecting common spaces and surfaces. All cleaning products meet the requirements of Health Canada.
While we are not required to wear gloves, we do have some available and will wear them if that makes you feel more comfortable during treatment.
We will be making an assessment of our own health each day and will be cancelling appointment if we feel ill.
We have set up 30 minutes between clients to accommodate the cleaning/disinfecting and screening processes.
Because of the increase risk of transmission, We will not be massaging the face, doing intra-oral massage or using hydrotherapy (heating pad, hot stone massage).
We will be staggering appointments so that there will only be you and your therapist in the reception area.
PLEASE READ IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED
We may be contacting you to shift your appointment time slightly to accommodate the extra time needed to clean and prepare
Thank you for all your patience and understanding as we get use to this brave new world. Feel free to contact us us with any questions or concerns.
