Appearance can strongly influence tanning behaviours. ☀️

Among Gen Z Canadians who intentionally tan, 45% say it makes them feel more confident, and 37% say they believe they look better in photos.

A tan might look good in the moment, but skin damage can last long after the glow fades. Healthy skin is always in style.

When it comes to your skin, time is important. ⏳

Delayed diagnosis for skin cancer can lead to lower survival rates - yet with only 800 certified dermatologists for 41+ million people, thousands are left waiting.

But the cost of waiting goes far beyond statistics.

A delayed diagnosis takes a heavy physical and emotional toll on patients and their families. It often means more complex and invasive treatments, longer recovery times, and the prolonged anxiety of navigating the health care system.

Dermatology is about more than skin health - it’s about confidence, mental health, and quality of life. Whether it's Psoriasis, Alopecia, or Skin Cancer, every Canadian deserves timely access to an expert who listens.

Yet, our health care system is experiencing a critical shortage of specialists. With just over 800 certified dermatologists to serve a population of 41+ million, patients face significant barriers to timely care.

Without immediate action, delays in access to dermatological care will continue to grow, geographic inequities will deepen, and patient health outcomes will worsen. Early detection is our best defence, here’s how you can take action and protect your health.
