Learners in this program learn about five areas of healthy and positive social-emotional behaviours and how key examples of these areas can be applied to their daily lives. These areas are Self-Awareness (thinking about yourself to identify emotions and thoughts that influence your behavior), Self-Management (thinking about controlling your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors), Social Awareness (understanding how others feel and showing them support when they need it), Relationship Skills (using behaviors for making and keeping good relationships with people who are often very different from yourself), and Responsible Decision Making (making good choices about personal behavior and following rules to avoid negative consequences).
