With MacFair less than a month away, it is time to introduce you to our student groups that will be helping out this year!
A message from our BSA Student Lead: The Black Student Association (BSA) team is driven by a shared purpose: to put an end to the ignorance and microaggressions that Black students continue to experience within our school community. As student leaders, we’re committed to fostering a more inclusive environment, one where Black students feel seen, heard, and supported. We view it as our mission to create a platform for positive change, embracing the belief that nothing changes if we don’t take the initiative to drive that change ourselves. Together, we form a strong, energetic force—ready to inform, empower, and educate those around us. By bringing attention to issues like microaggressions, gaslighting, mental health and awareness, cultural heritage, and more, we hope to inspire both reflection and action within our school.
Since the original founders of Immaculata’s BSA have graduated, students and teachers alike have stepped up to continue the legacy they began. This motivation stems from our desire to be the change we want to see in the world. By building on what was started, we’re creating a safe space to educate our community, amplify our voices, and solidify that we, too, have a place and purpose here.
