3 Exercises I trust for knee pain 👇

Not every knee needs complicated rehab. Sometimes it is about choosing the right movements and doing them consistently.

🦵 Step Downs
Help train control of the knee during lowering movements like stairs or downhill walking. They strengthen the quads and improve how the knee tracks over the foot.

🦵 Standing Hamstring Curl
Strengthens the hamstrings, which support the knee from the back and help balance the forces around the joint.

Over the years, we’ve had many conversations with physiotherapists who want to open their own clinic.

The ambition is there.
The clinical skill is there.

Ever heard of the empty can test? 🥫

It is a simple shoulder test we use to check the supraspinatus, one of your rotator cuff muscles. You lift your arm slightly forward and out to the side at shoulder height, turn your thumb down like you are pouring out a can, and gently resist pressure from the clinician.

If that position brings on pain or noticeable weakness, it can suggest irritation or involvement of the supraspinatus tendon.

That said, it is only one piece of the puzzle. We always combine it with other strength tests and movement assessments to understand what is really driving your shoulder symptoms.

Shoulder feeling painful or weak overhead? Let’s figure out what is going on and build a plan that gets you back to moving confidently. 💪
