For many people, this time of year comes with complicated family dynamics, financial stress, and expectations that don’t always match our energy or emotional capacity. I’ve seen it firsthand, one year I had four last-minute cuddle therapy calls right before Christmas. This season can be both wonderful and overwhelming.

Whew. That quote hits because it’s true… and also because it’s hard.
Knowing what you allow requires knowing what you want. Saying it out loud requires confidence. And sticking to it? That’s a whole skill set. 💪💖

This is where the Wheel of Consent in cuddle therapy becomes such a powerful practice arena (or as I like to say, a gentle sparring ground 🥋✨).

In a cuddle therapy session, we slow things way down and practice:
• Noticing what you want in your body
• Asking clearly for it
• Saying “yes,” “no,” or “not like that” without guilt
• Feeling what it’s like to have your boundaries respected
• Experiencing how good it feels to respect someone else’s boundaries too

There’s no pressure to get it “right.” The Wheel of Consent gives structure, language, and safety so you can experiment, wobble, adjust, and grow. Over time, that confidence doesn’t stay on the cuddle mat — it comes with you into your relationships, your workplace, and your everyday life.

Because teaching people how to treat you starts with treating yourself with clarity and care. 💫
