Did you know that PSO is partnered with the West Ottawa HART Hub? We're so proud of the work that has gone into this project!!

PSO Peer Support Workers will be on-site at the WOHH to provide peer support as part of the array of stigma-free services offered!!

𝗢𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝘁𝘁𝗮𝘄𝗮.

Ontario has opened a new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub in Bells Corners to help people access care while keeping communities safe.

This is part of Ontario’s plan to open 28 HART Hubs across the province to improve access to recovery and treatment services for individuals and families facing mental health and substance use challenges.

Led by the Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre, the Hub is supported by seven core community partners and more than 20 organizations across the region.

PSO’s practicum students, Rachel and Joscelyn, are hosting an in-person discussion event on March 25th . They are inviting peers to meet, connect and share experiences with medical invalidation in healthcare. Let's take the opportunity to discuss topics like how medical dismissal can impact mental health, how weight and gender can alter experiences with caregiving professionals, and tools for self-advocacy and self-care. On November 20th at 5pm, join us in person or virtually to hear what PSO has been up to, approve our Financial Audit and to vote in 5 new Board of Directors. To be eligible to vote your membership form has to be returned to us by Nov. 19th and you must be a member for minimum 30 days. Those who are able to join us in person will also be able to enjoy some pizza for dinner!
