The Music IndustSHE with Rita Visser

I randomly joined a conversation with women in music a few months back. I was craving to expand my circle after making a promise to myself to network a little more. Seems to be working, as the fabulous  asked me to officiate the next conversation this Monday, January 29th at 11am. Exciting stuff.

I learned a lot the last one, especially from the brilliant and also so elated to meet . What an inspiring force of women! So grateful for this knowledge. So if you are a women (non-binary) in the industry or wanting to delve into it, join us. Let’s come together to share ideas and experiences to empower one another and break through barriers.

Rylan Whalen is the lead singer and founding member of Harm & Ease.

When he reached his teenage years, Rylan realized he didn’t identify with the music his peers were listening to. Eager to discover new sounds, Rylan found himself drawn to the music of bands like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Electric Light Orchestra and Supertramp.

When him and Danny Lopez began writing songs together, lightning struck and it was then that Harm & Ease was born. Immediately after finishing High School, Whalen went where Lopez had gone. Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the 5 years he spent there, he developed his skills as a writer and a performer and became acquainted with the rough and tumbled world of Rock & Roll.

After being back in his homeland of Canada for 4 years, his voice is consistently heard across the country through Harm & Ease hits like ' Cut Me Loose' and 'Lemonade' . His voice can be described as a little Ozzy Osbourne, a little Jim Morrison and completely honest and unafraid of every note he sings.

I lost 60 lbs over COVID.
It was definitely one of the biggest accomplishments of my life, but I didn’t do it alone. I sought help from a Doctor who’s dedicated his life to helping people who struggle with Obesity.

I spent two years studying and learning under him and he slowly became one of my biggest supporters for becoming a coach.
