Have you heard of the Scandinavian Sleep Method? One of the key tenants is having separate blankets to stop arguments over blanket hogging and temperature.

If you are in perimenopause and having hot flash symptoms 🤔 maybe stop and look at WHO is in your bed and HOW you are sleeping.

Sharing a blanket, having dogs 🐶 cats 🐈‍⬛ and kiddos 👧 sleeping in the same bed as you is not going to help you cool off.

We’re talking all things perimenopause including hot flashes, mood changes, hormone replacement therapy and MORE with the amazing Dr. Nathalie Gamache on this weeks episode of

I feel like I P*E ALL THE TIME!

If this sounds like you you and want to take the first steps to regaining bladder control, then the latest episode of is for you.

The bladder is a muscle and when it stretches that triggers the urge to urinate. BUT if we go often and “just in case” we start to desensitize the bladder to stretch and smaller quantities of urine trigger that urge sooner.

02/03/2026

One of the MOST COMMON things I treat as a pelvic floor physiotherapist is urinary frequency. People who feel like they urinate ALL THE TIME.

While there are sometimes underlying issues, often it’s how they have trained their bladder. The bladder is a muscle and is sensitive to stretch. When it stretches, that triggers our need to p*e.

BUT when we go to the bathroom “just in case” that means our bladder doesn’t get to stretch and smaller volumes of urine trigger the reflex sooner. And you start feeling like you have a small bladder.

On this weeks episode of we are talking all things bladder health. Listen if you want to regain bladder control and stop feeling like you have a tiny bladder.

Next episode drops TOMORROW at 9am. Available wherever you listen to your fave podcasts.

Turning a negative comment into education. 💕💕💕

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I LOVE educating women.

A recent post about my mindset around weightlifting and physical activity really got under the nerves of someone online.

How could I, someone in a bigger body, possibly know anything about weightlifting and physical activity??? 😮

Well, because I have a degree in Kinesiology (Athletic Therapy) a Masters’ in Physical Therapy oh and if you’re wondering I also have a Psychology degree. I have also been active my entire life.

Women of all body types deserve health information and access to healthcare. I hope my message about health being my goal for weightlifting vs physical appearance resonates with someone and helps them to move their body.

People CAN be fit and healthy in many body types. 💪🏼

12/17/2025

I used to exercise because I wanted to look a certain way, yes I enjoyed being strong and feeling healthy but my motivation came mainly from appearance.

Then I herniated a disc in my back in 2021 and couldn’t move well, let alone lift weights for an entire year, with another two years following that I was scared to push my body. I was reliant on others for help and it took away my independence.

Fast forward to 2024, I started lifting again, just what felt good but showing my body and brain lifting was safe. Ending 2025, I’m lifting more than I could in my 30’s.

Now I workout because I want to be strong, I want to head into midlife and beyond being able to do all the things. I want my old age to be active and that starts with a foundation now.

Tap 💪🏼 if you agree!

As a Pelvic Health Physio I talk about l**e A LOT! 💦

L**e is not created equally and it’s important to choose one that is right for you and not just whatever is available on the shelf.

💧Water-based are readily available and compatible with most material. They can absorb quickly and become sticky so you may have to reapply.

💧Silicone-based is a great alternative and has more longevity. Keep it away from those silicone toys though as it will break down the material.

💧Oil-based has a lot of longevity, can be moisturizing. Keep away from latex and be mindful that it may stain your sheets.

Try to choose a l**e that is free from parabans and preservatives, your pelvic floor will thank you.

💦 L**E L**E L**E💦

I often recommend personal lubricant following childbirth and during menopause. Hormone fluctuations can change how you feel below the belt and l**e can be a great way to help you feel ready.

There are many kinds of lubricant 💦available and what you choose depends on what you’ll be using it with.

🌸WATER BASED L**E is most widely available and compatible with most materials. It tends to absorb quickly so you might have to reapply.

🌸SILICONE BASED L**ES are smooth and sit on the skin so no need to reapply. However NOT compatible with silicone toys.

🌸OIL BASED L**ES are smooth, don’t absorb as quickly and often only a small amount is needed. They are NOT compatible with latex.

Look for a l**e that is free from parabans, scents or other chemicals.

If you want more tips about how to choose a l**e, check out my YouTube channel (link in bio) for a full video. ⬆️
