Everyone experiences challenges and transitions in their lives that are difficult to process and manage. During these times, it is hard to sit in the discomfort, pain, and overwhelm. I believe all people have the strength and resilience necessary to overcome life’s challenges and can benefit from exploring these aspects of themselves in a compassionate, curious, and supportive environment. I am a
counsellor with ten years experience in non-profit, social service, and healthcare spaces. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health challenges, anxiety, life transitions, loss/grief/bereavement, stress, and trauma. I also support people going through challenges related to identity, gender, sexual orientation, and relationships. Understanding mental health from a (w)holistic perspective, I recognize physical, psychological, social, structural, and spiritual factors impact wellbeing. Using a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, I will work with you to explore your values, priorities, and strengths to figure out how we can integrate them into your healing journey. I incorporate evidence-based treatments, mainly deriving from EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Ego-State/parts work Therapy, Emotionally Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Safe and Sound Protocol. I also incorporate mindfulness practice, grounding techniques, and psychoeducation during sessions. Ultimately, I believe you are the expert of your experience. With this, my role is not to lead, but rather support you in your healing. I am passionate about supporting people as they deepen their understanding of themselves, cultivate adaptive coping strategies, and learn how to access their inner wisdom. Please reach out by phone or email to explore working together.
