I want to share with you something that I’ve been holding close for some time. November, I will be taking a step away and embarking on a year-long sabbatical devoted to study, exploration, nourishing my spirit, and dreaming into new possibilities.
When I first came back to Ottawa nearly a decade ago, I could never have imagined how deeply the yoga community here would open its arms to me. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported in ways that touched me to my core.
From studio classes to special gatherings, trainings, retreats, and countless shared breaths, this community has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
And yet still, my heart is whispering that it’s time.
✨Time for change.
Time for discomfort.
✨Time to challenge the limitations of my mind, to create, rebuild, and grow.
Am I scared? Absolutely.
It feels irrational to step away from something I love so deeply. The voice of fear can be overpowering and can easily stop you in your tracks. And yet, beneath it all, there is a quiet, steady knowing. A voice that trusts I am being guided beyond the noise, beyond the identities we cling to, and into a wider space of possibility.
Will I still be teaching yoga? Absolutely.
Sharing this practice the thread that weaves through my life. It is how I connect, serve, and make sense of this beautiful world. What will change is the pace. Rather than rushing from studio to studio, I’ll be focusing on intentional, heart-centered offerings that are created from a place of purpose and sustainability.
I will still be hosting retreats, trainings, and online spaces that allow us to stay connected, no matter where life takes us.
This is not goodbye. This is a sacred pause — an honouring of life’s natural cycles, a step into mystery, and a chance to refill my own soul-cup so I can continue to share from a place of vitality and inspiration.
Thank you for walking this path with me, for your love, your presence, and support.
Here’s to new chapters and new beginnings 🌿
