✨ Black History Month | February 1 ✨
As we begin Black History Month, CAPWHN is proud to celebrate the leadership and impact of our President, Kimani Daniel, who was recently recognized with two national leadership awards for her outstanding contributions to nursing, education, and community leadership.
🏆 Kimani was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch, recognizing her influence as a nurse educator, mentor, and leader.
🏅 She was also honoured with the Pan-Canadian Association of Nurses of African Descent (PCANAD) Excellence in Leadership Award, celebrating her commitment to advancing equity, representation, and culturally responsive care across Canada.
Kimani’s work in perinatal and women’s health, her dedication to mentorship, and her leadership within CAPWHN reflect the very values we strive to advance — excellence, equity, and inclusive leadership in nursing.
We are grateful for her vision and leadership, and proud to recognize her achievements as we honour Black excellence in nursing this month.
