🌍 Today, on , we reflect on the role that healthcare providers play in creating hope through connection.
We invite you to read a special spotlight series, created by our professional development division, CHA Learning in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada Commission de la santé mentale du Canada (MHCC), which feature voices from the MHCC’s Talking About Su***de advisory committee. Their stories remind us that when it comes to su***de, listening, understanding, and being willing to start the conversation can make all the difference.
For healthcare providers, these conversations can feel difficult, but they are essential. That’s why CHA Learning and the MHCC have teamed up to develop "Talking About Su***de: Empowering Healthcare Providers, Instilling Hope in Clients." This free, accredited online course equips healthcare professionals with the tools and confidence to:

On World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re proud to share a special spotlight series created in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada Commission de la santé mentale du Canada (MHCC).
This series features members of the MHCC’s Talking About Su***de advisory committee—healthcare providers, su***de prevention experts, and people with lived and living experience—each sharing their insights, experiences, and the lessons they’ve gained throughout their work and advocacy.
Their stories highlight the power of listening, the importance of understanding, and the value of building confidence to have meaningful conversations about su***de in healthcare settings. Every story reinforces the same truth: every conversation matters.
The Talking About Su***de eLearning course was developed in partnership between the MHCC and CHA Learning, with guidance from these advisors. This free, self-paced micro-course can be completed in as little as three hours and is designed for all healthcare professionals, regardless of role or location, to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to engage in su***de-related conversations with clients.
