Due to the new restrictions placed on the city on April 16th, 2021, iTrendy Optical will be reducing hours to enhance efforts to protect employees and patients. As of April 17th, 2021, we will be closed on Mondays. Regular store hours will remain unchanged Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 6:00PM.

How do you dispose contact lenses safely?

Did you know that in Canada Contact Lenses packaging can now be recycled.

A majority of patients are unaware that asides from the outer boxing, both the contact lenses itself and the blister packs can be recycled.

Bausch + Lomb has partnered with TerraCycle in a national recycling program so that you can bring your contact lenses packaging to a participating clinic for drop-off, where it will then be transferred for proper disposal.

Our clinic is proud to announce that we have taken part in this National Recycling Program in efforts to decrease and manage environmental risks.

We hope that this will encourage patients that even with daily disposable contact lenses, they can be assured that the packaging will not have an impact on the environment.

How contact lenses patients can help:

Please place contact lenses and blister packs into a plastic bag, make sure all excess liquids are removed.

Please do not place cardboard boxes into the bag as these can be recycled through regular municipal recycling.

You can then bring everything to our clinic.
