What might group volunteering look like? 🌟

TD employees showed us a powerful example when they gathered at Youth QUEST Central drop-in centre in Moncton today.

They helped maintain the centre’s welcoming and accessible space for youth aged 16–24 through:

🍴meal prep
🧹deep cleaning
📦organizing donated goods
💡and more!

Thank you to everyone who participated and reminded us of tangible ways to support our local youth and community!

1 day, 36 volunteers, 500 hygiene kits packed👇

What a powerful event!

In June, Owens Corning Canada employees joined together to support Women on the Rise in an impactful hands-on activity.

In just one day, they assembled 500 hygiene kits filled with essential items to support women and their families.

Today, as we celebrate our country, we also reflect on its history and acknowledge the complexities and ongoing challenges related to the colonial past. We believe in embracing the power of community to connect and build a more equitable nation.

Volunteers play a role in this journey, bridging divides and fostering mutual understanding and respect across communities. As we wrap up National Indigenous History Month with many great learnings and conversations, we want to share our reflections:

🔹 Volunteering is rooted in care, kinship, survival, and justice rather than formal recognition. Encourage individuals to volunteer in ways that align with their values and community needs.

🔹 Genuine connections and mutual respect are the foundation of effective community work. Focus on collaboration, listening, and understanding. Value the process of working together as much as the end results. Value the work already being done in the community.

🔹 Indigenous youth are demonstrating leadership and vision in their communities. Create opportunities for Indigenous youth to lead and participate in community projects.

🔹Adults play a crucial role in supporting and encouraging young people. Show up for youth-led events and initiatives and be a source of support and inspiration.
