Learning how to engage responsibly with Indigenous data matters.
Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada is proud to support a national learning opportunity in partnership with Volunteer Canada, Statistics Canada, Imagine Canada, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals through the Data-Driven Engagement (DDE) initiative.
Join this introductory webinar to learn how to navigate the Statistics Canada website and locate Indigenous-related data, reference materials, and analyses connected to volunteering, giving, and community participation across Canada.
This session encourages thoughtful, contextual learning while recognising that First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities lead their own data governance and research traditions. It is an opportunity for volunteer engagement professionals to strengthen data literacy as part of an ongoing commitment to learning, relationship-building, and informed practice.

This webinar is part of the Data-Driven Engagement Certificate, which recognizes participants who build practical skills in finding, understanding, and using Canadian social data in nonprofit and community work.
Participants learn how to navigate the Statistics Canada website, interpret Census and survey data responsibly, and apply insights to real-world volunteer engagement, fundraising, and community participation efforts.
Designed for learners at all levels, the certificate focuses on practical, applied learning that participants can bring back to their organizations, teams, and communities.
The DDE initiative is helping nonprofit professionals across Canada build confidence in using data to strengthen volunteer engagement, fundraising, and community participation. And VMPC is proud to be part of this important national work.
