Two Pink Lines

Two Pink Lines Megan is a Registered Massage Therapist practicing at Back on Track Physio in Findlay Creek. She is also a trained birth doula and childbirth educator.

ABOUT ME:

I am a proud mom to a one year old boy, and a loving partner to a local dairy farmer. My true joys are children and birth; both so spontaneous and vulnerable. I am so thrilled to be able to share my passion for birth with expectant families in Ottawa through my doula work. I am also a Registered Massage Therapist. I love massage therapy and it's ability to get people back to doing the things they love, pain free. I enjoy researching all things pregnancy, birth, and newborns and being able to pass along these resources to my clients so that they can make an informed choice regarding their care. You only know you have a choice, if you know there are other options available. Therefore, I aim to provide my clients with the information they need, as well as referrals to other healthcare practitioners so that they can have the highest level of care throughout their pregnancy, labour, and postpartum period. MASSAGE THERAPY:

Massage therapy is for everyone. Massage therapy has been proven to reduce and/or eliminate pain, improve joint mobility, improve circulation, improve immune system functioning, assist in lymphatic drainage, reduce depression and anxiety, reduce tension in tight muscles, and increase body awareness. As a massage therapist my goal is to get you back to feeling like your best self. Together we will formulate a treatment plan, which could include some of the following Swedish Massage techniques:
• myofascial release
• trigger point therapy
• hydrotherapy
• deep tissue work
• joint play
• home care/remedial exercise

My practice is currently based out of Back on Track in Findlay Creek. Back on Track offers a variety of services including Massage Therapy, Physiotherpay, and Chiropratic. I am proud to be apart of such a friendly and knowlegable team. Call us today at 613-903-4222 to make an appointment. My current hours are:

I provide doula services as an Registered Massage Therapist. Therefore, I work under the scope of practice of an RMT. As a RMT doula I provide emotional, physical, and informational support in pregnancy and labour. In pregnancy, we will meet to discuss your fears and your preferences and I will offer you information and support so you feel confident about your upcoming birth. My goal is to have you feeling empowered, cared for, and knowledgeable so that in labour you are able to shut off your mind and focus on riding the waves of labour. I am not responsible for charting during your labour so I am able to stay completely present with you, and have your physical and emotional well being as my only concern. I will advocate for you, but I will never speak on your behalf. I will not replace the role of your partner, I aim to help your partner feel confident in their ability to support you and just fill in any missing gaps, whatever they may be. I understand that the birth of your child is an event you will remember forever. I aim to protect the memory of your birth so that when you reflect back on it you recall great joy and satisfaction. For me, there is no greater joy than knowing I played a part in helping you achieve the birth you had hoped for. I have trained with DONA, Trimesters, and Mothercraft Ottawa.
