My official foray into teaching began in the spring of 2017 when I studied in a teacher training course on the West Coast of Canada. Following that I traveled to India with the idea of “go to the source” in order to learn from the masters - for my own practice, and with the hopes of learning even just a little bit how to teach and share Yoga. I left both experiences with more knowledge than I imag

ined and a deeper desire to continue studying (it’s endless!) - but more importantly I gained an entirely new and broke down sense of being. Throughout my childhood and into adulthood I have studied a variety of dance styles - I’ve always been in love with the creativity that movement allows for, both in body & soul. My personal yoga practice stems from that, fueled by a curiosity and awareness of body movement and how it impacts relationship with our self, with others and with our surroundings. My hopes in teaching are to create spaces for practitioners to move through and break down their physical and emotional boundaries, and to feel comfortable in movement according to their body. I aim to create classes that pace through our breath, allowing it to be the guide of movement and stillness. In doing so I hope this will allow for the connection with self that the practice of yoga can open, and that the practitioner will gain insight into the Philosophy and Science of Yoga, beyond just physical postures.
