Happy birthday! 🎂 🎉

Today was a truly special celebration as we came together to honor our January birthdays in the best way possible. The festivities were filled with wonderful entertainment from the bluesy swing duo.Their smooth rhythms and soulful sound had everyone tapping their feet and enjoying the moment.

After the music, we gathered to indulge in a classic birthday treat—delicious cake and refreshing ice cream—which added the perfect sweet ending to an already joyful celebration. It was a day full of laughter, music, and togethernes.

Happy New Years Eve 🍾🥂✨

What a year it has been! We closed it out in the best possible way, celebrating together at our New Year’s Eve cocktail party. The evening began with great company, flowing cocktails, and fantastic entertainment by the lucky streak jazz band.

A huge shoutout and sincere thank you to Nick - our food service manger- and his wonderful team for their incredible work behind the scenes and for preparing such a delicious evening meal.

As we counted down to midnight (early) we reflected on the year behind us — the moments, milestones, mememories that made it so special, and looked ahead with excitement and optimism for what the new year will bring.

Some of our residents enjoyed a wonderful evening social, coming together to bake up a storm and share in the joy of a much-loved classic — apple crumble. The kitchen was filled with the warm, comforting aroma of baked apples and cinnamon as everyone took part, from peeling and mixing to chatting and laughing along the way.

For some residents, it was their very first time trying apple crumble, making the experience even more special. Watching them taste and enjoy something new was a real highlight of the evening.

’Twas the night before Christmas, and the magic of the season surrounded us as our residents set out on a delightful morning outing filled with warmth, wonder, and holiday cheer. We had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Trees of Hope display at the iconic Château Laurier, where every corner sparkled with festive lights, creative decorations, and the joyful spirit of giving.

A special moment of pride came when we spotted our very own Riverstone tree, glowing beautifully among the display. Smiles lit up faces as residents paused for photos and enjoyed seeing our Riverstone community represented in such a meaningful and festive way. The elegance of the Château, combined with the cheerful décor and gentle hum of holiday excitement, made the experience truly memorable.

To finish off our outing, we stopped for a cozy treat and a warm cup of coffee. The simple joy of sitting together, enjoying something sweet, and chatting made the morning feel extra special

What an unforgettable time we had celebrating the season at our very first Resident & Family Holiday Party! 🎄✨ The room was filled with laughter, joy, and togetherness, and it was truly heartwarming to see residents, families, and the team coming together to celebrate the holidays.

The dance floor stayed busy, the laughter was contagious, and the energy in the room was unforgettable. We were delighted to enjoy such wonderful entertainment by the talented Malcolm Wade, who kept everyone engaged.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so special.

We’d like to give a special shoutout to Nick, our Food Service Manager, and his incredible team for putting together a delicious spread of food that everyone enjoyed. We also want to thank our dedicated staff and volunteers who worked behind the scenes and on the day of the event to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your time, effort, and holiday spirit made all the difference.
