We are proud to recognize Dr. Jennifer Stinson, for her global leadership in pediatric digital health interventions when she is inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing on October 29, 2025.
Jennifer is Mary Jo Haddad Nursing Chair in Child Health and Senior Scientist in the Child Health Evaluative Sciences program at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. She is also a Nurse Practitioner in the Chronic Pain Program and Professor at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto. Jennifer leads the iOUCH Pain Lab, advancing digital therapeutics to improve outcomes for children and youth living with chronic pain, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, sickle cell disease, and cancer. Her work combines research, clinical practice, and technology to enhance pediatric care worldwide.

We are proud to recognize Dr. Debbie Sheppard-LeMoine, for her global contributions to nursing education and policy when she is inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing on October 29, 2025.
Debbie, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor, has over 30 years of Canadian and international academic experience. Her research focuses on interprofessional learning, family assessment, home visiting for vulnerable populations, and RN scope in emergency care. She has co-led international mobility projects across North America to advance global nursing collaboration. Debbie has chaired national committees, served on regulatory reviews, and is the only Canadian board member of the International Family Nursing Association, influencing global family health and nursing policy.

Doyenne de la Faculté des sciences infirmières de l’Université de Windsor, Debbie cumule plus de 30 ans d’expérience académique au Canada et à l’international. Ses recherches portent sur l’apprentissage interprofessionnel, l’évaluation familiale, les visites à domicile auprès de populations vulnérables et le champ d’exercice des IA en urgence. Elle a co-dirigé des projets de mobilité internationale en Amérique du Nord pour renforcer la collaboration mondiale. We are proud to recognize Ruth Schofield, for her leadership in public and community health nursing when she is inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing on October 29, 2025.
Ruth’s research focuses on public and community health nursing, nursing education, and mental health and housing. She founded a national online PHN postgraduate program and has served as president of Community Health Nurses of Canada. Ruth has led national projects revising community health nursing standards and competencies and has co-edited Canada’s first public health nursing textbook (forthcoming 2025). With over 23 years in public health nursing, her contributions to education, practice, and leadership continue to shape the profession and improve health outcomes nationally.

Cheryl has made transformative contributions to home and community health nursing in practice, policy, education, research, and leadership. She led implementation of an innovative Outcomes-Based Care and Service Delivery framework, strategies to optimize “stickiness,” and digital enablement of clinical information systems in decentralized home care. Her work in developing community health nursing standards and home health competencies reflects her commitment to patient excellence and supporting point-of-care staff. Cheryl’s thought leadership is widely recognized through presentations, publications, and research highlighting challenges, opportunities, and successes in home health care.

Jennifer has focused her career on women’s cardiovascular health as a clinician researcher, addressing gaps in research and care. She developed Canada’s only cardiac rehabilitation program specifically for women, the Women’s Cardiovascular Health Initiative. Elizabeth is a Professor at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and a Member of the Joint Centre for Bioethics at the University of Toronto. Her work focuses on feminist ethics in nursing, community care ethics, and she is a frequent invited speaker internationally. She has chaired multiple ethics boards and serves as Associate Editor for Nursing Ethics. Her degrees include a BScN from the University of Windsor, a BA in philosophy from York University, and an MScN and PhD in Medical Science (Bioethics) from the University of Toronto.

We are proud to introduce Dr. Minna Kristiina Miller, for her global contributions to nursing and health care when she is inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing on October 29, 2025.
Minna is recognized for advancing nursing and healthcare regionally, nationally, and internationally. As a pediatric respirology NP at BC Children’s Hospital, she standardizes pediatric asthma care through evidence-based guidelines, virtual health, and clinician education. Her policy leadership removes barriers to NP practice and expands scope, including co-developing B.C.’s first NP privileging dictionary. Internationally, she advances APN role development via the ICN NP/APN Network. A dedicated educator, she holds adjunct faculty appointments at UBC and Thompson Rivers University, mentoring NPs worldwide.

Nous sommes fiers de présenter Minna Kristiina Miller, pour ses contributions à l’échelle mondiale, à l’occasion de son intronisation comme Fellow de l’Académie canadienne des sciences infirmières le 29 octobre 2025.
Reconnue pour faire progresser les soins infirmiers et la santé aux échelons régional, national et international, Minna est infirmière praticienne en pneumologie pédiatrique au BC Children’s Hospital, où elle standardise les soins de l’asthme pédiatrique par des lignes directrices fondées sur les données probantes, la santé virtuelle et la formation clinique. En politiques, elle a levé des barrières à la pratique des IP et élargi leur champ, notamment en co-développant le premier dictionnaire d’attributions des IP en C.-B. À l’international, elle fait avancer le développement des rôles IP/IPA par son leadership au sein du réseau NP/APN du CII. Éducatrice dévouée, elle est professeure associée à l’UBC et à Thompson Rivers University et mentore des IP à l’échelle mondiale.
