Mental Health & Addiction Services of Ottawa Our counsellors work with clients aged 4-99. MHASO provides a large variety of mental health services for children, youth, adults, couples and families.

We are a group of mental health service providers with collectively over 100 years of experience in treating PTSD, addictions, anxiety, depression, child & youth behavioural issues, couples counselling, & more. The services at MHASO are provided by skilled clinicians who regularly participate in ongoing training. Check out each clinician's Bio and their website to learn more about them. Embark on a journey of self-discovery and symptom management with our 8-Week Online Training in Mindfulness-Based Symptom Management (MBSM), starting April 22nd, 2026. Dive deep into mindfulness practices from the comfort of your home every WEDNESDAY, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm ET, and a special half-day retreat.

This transformative program, developed by Lynette Monteiro PhD and Frank Musten PhD, and facilitated by Shontelle Prokipcak MSW RSW, is designed to equip you with the tools to manage stress, anxiety, and other symptoms through mindfulness. Whether you're looking to enhance your well-being or seeking new methods to manage life's challenges, this course offers the support and guidance you need.
