Pet behaviours are never “ bad”. Unacceptable for you? Sure! If you don’t prefer a behaviour, saying “no” won’t tell them what you do want. Tell them what you prefer. Mine is “go to your mat”!

Pet cats are less domesticated than pet dogs. Behaviours that we find annoying are understandable if you know that it often all comes down to the HUNT.

ELS: excessive licking of surfaces. This is a behaviour that indicates nausea. This is a behaviour associated with anxiety. Both need to be addressed together for progress to be made.
