Our donkeys all do have little vests to wear while out. My hand arthritis is making it pretty difficult to sew. If anyone out there has a sturdy sewing machine, I could use help making Rory’s safety vest. Thanks so much!

Important News

We were preparing to say a final farewell to Women Warriors’ Healing Garden this month as we were entirely out of funding for nearly two years.

We thought of our animals and decided to focus our attention on their well-being. Thus, the creation of the Green’s Creek Donkey and Mule Sanctuary.

Out of the blue, last week, we found additional funding to continue working with Veterans and Families for another three years.

There will be many new programs and they will be open to ALL veterans and their children.

Elaine will say more on her new Women Warriors’ Healing Garden Page, but I am proud to say that The Donkey and Mule Sanctuary will be free to Veterans on all public days and we will have special programs just for veterans on other days.

In this time of rising tensions and conflict, we hope to bring education and joy, and peaceful gatherings, to everyone who comes through our gates.

Bert is eagerly looking out for your return!

After spending some time in the lab, the boys have come up with their new soap concoction: Donkey Milk Soap infused with their most loved treat…carrot.
