What a beautiful day. Our old friend, Olivia, was in the neighbourhood and spent some time scratching the boys. Four years have flown by, and Olivia is now a Commissioned Officer heading out to her new duty station on the Prairies. Good Luck, Lieutenant Furlong!

Fun games, and prizes.

At 2pm we will have a joyful blessing of the animals by the Buddhist Nuns from Richmond and At sunset we will have a bonfire in memory of our friend Dany King.

We are asking for donations for the Nuns in the form of monetary donations for a new temple.

This day is about giving and blessing the Most Vulnerable amongst us.

Hope to see many old and new friends there.

Happy Mother‘s Day from Red, who is very patiently awaiting her prolific brood. Did you know that many females will form a clutch and then take turn on the nest? Co-parenting is an effective strategy for many animals.

We’ve been working very hard to prepare for our grand opening this summer! We’re clearing brush, repairing fences and planting crab apple trees, berry bushes and river birch.

This is Jordan, one of our summer students, coming to us from Oblesk, Russia. Jordan’s family raised donkeys in Cameroun. It is a pleasure to have him on our team.

We are so lucky to have these two able gentleman to make much needed repairs to our fencing; one a retired Veteran sharing new skills with one of our country’s new immigrants.

This land known as Turtle Island is special and so are all of its people.

The boys are Looking for a strong individual, under the age of 30, and a Permanent Resident, to fill a 9-week position as a farm hand. You’ll be swinging a pick axe, hauling dirt, cutting wood, and feeding animals from 9am-3:30.
