I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Q). Currently, I am finishing my MRP as my last requirement of completion for my Masters of Psychology degree from Adler Graduate Professional School, with an Adlerian Trauma Certificate. My MRP topic is how therapists' personal development contributes to their "Use of Self" in developing the therapeutic alliance, contributing to client change. I graduated from C

arleton University in 2012 with high honours earning a BA Hons in psychology. My honours paper was on the efficacy of Emotional Focused Couples Therapy. I have completed over 400 direct clinical hours between my two internships at York University and Choices in Action Counselling Services. Additionally, I volunteered as a Peer Support Group Facilitator at MDAO in Toronto running support groups for those with Bipolar, Depression, and Anxiety. I volunteered as a co-facilitator for a CADUCEUS therapy group for health professionals with addiction. I currently hold a social media volunteer position on the executive board for Mental Health Professionals Ottawa. I have completed Mental Health First Aid, undergone ASIST su***de intervention training, and the Spiral Model of Trauma psychodrama training. I previously did mental health advocacy work with CMHA and Partners for Mental Health.
