Happy Thanksgiving from Footopia!

As we gather to celebrate gratitude, family, and good food, we want to remind our wonderful patients that Footopia will be closed on Monday, October 13th so our team can enjoy the holiday with loved ones.

While Thanksgiving feasts are delicious, they can sometimes trigger gout flare-ups such as foods rich in purines like red meat, turkey skin, shellfish, and gravies.

Tips for keeping gout in check this weekend:
Enjoy those rich foods in moderation
Stay well-hydrated (water helps flush uric acid)
Limit alcohol and sugary drinks
If a flare-up happens, rest the affected joint, use ice, and reach out to your healthcare provider
