What brought Rachel here, and what shapes the care she provides?
After a serious accident in 1994 that led to chronic migraines, Rachel’s path into care became deeply personal.
She went on to study Massage Therapy after completing a BA in Humanities at Brock University, and completed all three core Active Release Technique modules, building a strong foundation in supporting soft tissue recovery.
She then began working with runners, triathletes, and Ironman athletes, supporting performance and recovery.
Then in 2005, everything changed.
Following her mom’s stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and seeing many of her clients go through similar experiences, Rachel pursued additional training to support clients during chemotherapy, radiation, and palliative care. She spent 10 years working in this area.
After a major knee injury in 2010 that left her in a wheelchair for six months, Rachel once again experienced firsthand what it means to rebuild and recover.
In 2016, she returned to school to study osteopathy, later going on to teach cranial osteopathy and soft tissue techniques at the college level. Today, she focuses on chronic pain and complex conditions, helping clients better understand and manage their pain.
Her experience, both personal and professional, brings a level of understanding and care that truly shapes the experience she provides.
