This compilation was the most played cassette tape for our dudes as babies. And the last song on the album is the one ive hummed to countless babies since then, as they drift off to dreamland in my arms. And if you’ve ever spent time with me and a baby, you know I’m a bit of a baby whisperer. Usually within minutes they are sound asleep in my arms. Thank you for creating this and for being a Canadian icon. A new generation is chilling and falling asleep to your music. My baby’s baby drifted off to your lullabies this morning…

Not gonna lie, this one hurts a bit. This is the last order i placed before our world imploded and Epicure as we knew it, had closed their doors, and my Business. Products and a Business i had loved for over 23 years gone. And while i am so looking forward to my next chapter and am very positive Epicure in a new way will be a part of it, it still hits. So today i am going to take a deep breath. I will savour opening this box and all it contains and represents. Food. Family, friends that became Family. Dreams realized, goals set and met and gloriously lived. So many positives from that first box that arrived in much the same way on my doorstep over 23 years ago. Little did i know just how big an impact it would have. Thank you with the deepest of gratitude if in any way you were a part of my Epicure World. It matters. You matter and together we made a difference. I think i woke up today knowing change was in the air. The cardinals were singing to bring in the morning. When a door closes, no matter how hard it slams, turn around. This is the Universe preparing your life for a massive upgrade. Now to walk through the door….

Beautiful things that are also practical make my heart happy. In 2023 and I spent 5 magikal days in Tingwick at Magic Tingwick. They have these gorgeous Blankets in all of their spaces and we fell in love with them. So much that when i found one at the local store i bought it on the spot. It’s multicoloured versus the pure white that offers and uses. We’ve slept under that glorious Blanket through all the Seasons. In Summer it’s the only blanket we use and in Winter it rests atop our silk duvet providing a comforting and insulating weight. Last night was one of my fave nights to sleep. The world and sounds outside blanketed by the heavily falling snow, winds blowing random snowflakes against my cheeks(yes i sleep with the windows open year round), and deeply comforted and snuggled into our bed. We’ve since added a pure white one to one of our Guest spaces. It feels like a reassuring hug as you drift off. Oh and yes our fur babies love them too!!

Do you wear makeup??? Do you wash your face?? I love colour cosmetics and that means what goes on must come off! This is my facecloth after one week. I use a new “section” every day. And then at the end of the week i grab a clean one. My laundry fairie aka then tosses it in with the bleach load. No all the stains do not come out and that’s okay as they are only used for makeup removal. I use a double cleanse which is super important when you wear makeup. Apply a balm/creamy type of remover to dissolve the makeup ~ especially important if you wear long lasting or waterproof products, and then wipe it off. That’s the yucky facecloth results. Then i wash again using a gentle cleanser and microfibre makeup cloth. It makes sure all traces of makeup, dirt and cleaner are gone. Follow up with your toner and your treatments. Clean skin means less irritations, blocked pores and flaking. It also allows your treatments products to do their job. And yes i wash my face like this even when i skip the colour cosmetics. Dirt, pollution, debris and micro irritants all still need to be cleansed off. Not sure what your skin care regime should look like??? Ask me and i can custom tailor one to your needs.

Life has a way of asking us to rise to new experiences. A few weeks ago, I, along with so many others I care about, received notice that Epicure in its current form was ceasing operations effective immediately. I was gut punched. And then when I picked myself up because life continues to move forward ~ I realized that there are wide open spaces in front of me. I am still very much in love with Epicure and am looking forward to being able to continue to offer our incredible products sometime in the future. For today though ~ I am embracing my skills, my education and my passion for helping people. I’ve partnered with Celesty which has just opened here in Canada. Their products are divine and are manufactured according to European Union Standards which are some of the strictest in the World. All this to say I love helping people look and feel amazing. Great skincare, fun colours and when I’m able to again ~ Fantastic Food. I’d love to provide you a personalized skincare routine that works and a colour palette that helps you pop!!!
