Most people track steps 👣 The smartest ones track something far more revealing 💫

Waking up exhausted with no clear reason.
Eight hours of sleep. Clean eating. Nothing unusual.
Yet the body feels heavy. The mind feels slow.
The watch shows the truth: HRV at 42.

Heart Rate Variability.
The metric most people have never heard of But it reveals what the body won't say out loud.

It's not about how hard someone works. It's about whether they're actually recovering. Low HRV means the nervous system is under siege.

Could be the wine that seemed harmless.
Could be the workout that felt productive.
Could be the stress that seemed manageable.

The body doesn't negotiate. It just shows the data.

When it dips below 50, the answer is simple:
Less. Slower. Smarter.
Because feeling "fine" isn't the same as being recovered.
And most people never learn the difference.

3-hour runs… but still no muscle? 🤔

Lean muscle might be the real magic pill for metabolic health.
It improves blood sugar control, boosts metabolism, and protects long-term health in ways cardio alone can’t.

Is muscle more important than cardio?
For metabolic health — a hundred percent.

Lift smart. Build strength. Protect your future.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your menopause symptoms are ‘serious enough,’ this is for you. ⬇️

A patient asked me last week if her symptoms were "bad enough" to see someone.

That question stayed with me.
Because there's no suffering quota for deserving expert care.

Most women wait for permission. They measure their discomfort against an invisible threshold. They get 15-minute appointments and prescriptions they don't fully understand.

But menopause isn't just about hot flashes.
It fundamentally changes your cardiovascular risk. Your bone density. Your metabolic health. These aren't small things. They're the foundation of how you'll age.

I've started asking a different question: "What does optimal feel like to you?"

Not just bearable. Not manageable. Optimal.
Because the conversation should start there, not at the point where you can no longer tolerate what's happening.

You deserve time. Thoroughness.

A care plan that addresses both today's symptoms and tomorrow's heart health.
The standard shouldn't be "good enough."

It should be "what serves your longevity now, and for years to come."

Did you know movement can help regulate blood sugar even in Type 1 diabetes?

Exercise makes the body more sensitive to insulin, helping glucose move into cells more efficiently and supporting steadier energy levels throughout the day.
It’s not a replacement for insulin but it is one of the most powerful tools to support better control and long-term health.

Walk more. Move daily. Support your metabolism naturally.

High cholesterol doesn’t automatically mean meds for life 💊

You haven't heard what happened to my 46-year-old patient. His doctor handed him a prescription for statins.

He asked for 90 days instead ☀️

👣 Walked 10,000 steps every day. No gym membership. Just more walking. Parked farther away. Took calls while walking.

🏋🏻‍♀️ Lifted weights 2–3 times per week. Learned 6 basic exercises from a trainer. Then did simple 30-minute workouts at home. Building muscle helps your body process cholesterol better.

🥘 Ate real food. Cut out sugary drinks and processed snacks. Swapped cereal for eggs and vegetables. Prepared meals on Sundays. That's it.

90 days later: Lost 25 pounds. Bad cholesterol dropped ⬇️ Good cholesterol went up ⬆️
Triglycerides back to normal. Prescription cancelled.

Most people never learn what their body can do because they skip straight to medication. Your body isn't broken.
It's responding to what you're giving it. Movement. Strength. Real food. Three things anyone can start today.

Your doctor can tell you what needs to improve but they don’t have the time (or the specialized training) to show you how.

That’s where a personal trainer comes in: creating a plan that’s built for your body, your lifestyle, and your goals, so you can move better, feel better, and live healthier for years to come.

That’s why we’ve partnered with ! Their full health assessments look at the big picture of your wellbeing, and together, we create a holistic plan to help you thrive inside and out.

If you think hot flashes are just an annoyance, you're missing what your body is trying to tell you about your long-term health ❤️‍🩹

I see women every week who haven't slept through the night in months.
Drenched sheets. Multiple changes of clothes. Exhaustion that affects everything work, relationships, patience.
They tell me: "I know it's just part of menopause. I'll get through it."

But here's what most don't know:
Severe hot flashes aren't just uncomfortable. They're signals. Research shows they may indicate increased cardiovascular risk. The same vascular changes causing those flashes can affect your heart health. And the sleep disruption? It's not neutral.

Poor sleep changes your glucose and fat metabolism.
It affects how your body recovers overnight.
It compounds the metabolic shift already happening from declining estrogen.

Your body is burning 200-300 fewer calories per day than it did before menopause. That's not a minor adjustment. That's a fundamental metabolic change.

Brain fog. Weight gain despite the same routine. Energy crashes.
These aren't character flaws or signs of aging poorly.

They're physiological responses to hormonal transition.

We have effective treatments. Hormone therapy when appropriate. Non-hormonal options when needed. Metabolic support. Sleep strategies.
But none of that happens if you're waiting it out in silence.

Your symptoms aren't just something to endure. They're data about your health.

Are you listening to what your body is telling you?

“I thought I was doing everything right…”
Guy trained regularly, ate well, and stayed on top of his health, but still ended up with irregular heart beats.

On this episode, Dr. Behn from and our head trainer, Cameron, break down why that happens more often than you’d think and what most people miss when it comes to heart health and longevity.

If you’re doing “all the right things” but still feel like something’s off, this one’s for you. Link in bio!

Most people think eating healthy means you're automatically performing better ❤️‍🩹 I used to think that too.

I switched to a 🌱 plant-based diet for all the right reasons. Better energy. Clearer conscience. Longevity.
And for a while, it worked.

My cholesterol dropped. ⤵️ I felt lighter. I lost weight…too much weight.
My blood🩸pressure decreased.

But then something shifted.💨

Around 2pm every day, my brain would fog up. Decisions that used to be automatic started feeling heavy. I'd be in the clinic, struggling to stay sharp. I blamed stress and poor sleep. Blamed the workload. Blamed everything except what was actually happening.

My body was thriving.
My brain was starving.

Turns out, plant-based eating comes with a hidden trade-off most people don't talk about.
You gain cardiovascular wins.

You lose three critical nutrients: ✅ Protein ✅ Omega-3s and ✅ B12.

Your heart loves it. Your 🧠 brain? Not so much.

The fix isn't complicated:
Get bloodwork. Test B12, Omega-3 index, and Ferritin. Supplement strategically.
B12 daily. Algae-based Omega-3s. Protein engineered to 1g per pound of bodyweight.

Within weeks, the fog lifts. The sharpness returns. The decisions get easier.

You don't have to choose between health and performance.
You just have to know what your body actually needs.

Everyone's flexing their gym stats 🏋🏻‍♀️ I just want to know if my heart's okay 🙃

Last night at dinner, I asked if anyone knew their blood pressure. They looked at me like I'd just announced my colonoscopy results.

We'll track our screen time, our step count, our coffee intake.
But have no idea if our heart is quietly struggling.

We know our weight. Our password. Our credit score.
But not the one number that actually keeps us breathing.

Maybe I'm the weird one.
Or maybe I just don't want to find out the hard way.

Do you know yours?

If you're not treating menopause as a critical prevention window, you're missing the most important decade for your longevity ❤️‍🩹

Most women come to see us when symptoms become unbearable. Hot flashes keeping them awake.
Brain fog affecting their work. Weight that won't budge.

But here's what many don't realize:
Menopause isn't just about symptoms. It's your body's most significant metabolic shift since puberty.
Before menopause, estrogen protects -->
🫀 Your heart
🦴 Your joints
🧠 Your brain

When it declines, your cardiovascular risk accelerates. You can lose up to 20% of bone density in just 5-7 years.

Heart disease kills more postmenopausal women than all cancers combined. And the process starts during this transition not after.

Yet most women wait. They think they should tough it out.
They treat hot flashes in isolation without addressing what's happening to their heart health.

This is the prevention window.
The decisions you make now about hormone therapy, cardiovascular screening, bone density, lifestyle, have outsized impact on the next 30 years of your life.

We have the tools. The evidence. The ability to intervene while it matters most.
But only if you approach this as a health checkpoint, not just a collection of symptoms to manage.

Your 50s aren't about decline. They're about protecting your longevity.
