* Since September 2012, social worker expenses incurred by an individual are considered tax deductible health care expenses.
* Social work or psychotherapy expenses may also be covered in an employee's benefits plan and employees may also have access to an EFAP (Employee and Family Assistance Program) that covers the cost of sessions. I am currently affiliated with the following EFAP companies:

Homewood Health, Timmins Family Counselling Centre, Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing, and Family Services Employee Assistance Program.
* My rates are $90/hour for face to face counselling and $60/hour for telecounselling.

* My social work career started in 1996 during which I have accumulated 13 years of clinical experience with a variety of clinical training in trauma debriefing and resolution (TIR), motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness among other children and adult mentail health issues. I have worked in a variety of settings such as child protection services, children's mental health, Family Health Teams, Hospitals and school boards.
