Perley Health Community Of Care The Perley Health has a long tradition of quality care serving veterans and an ever-increasing number of seniors from the community.

Perley Health has expanded its programs and services from a long-term care centre to create a Seniors Village which offers seniors more choices in a healthy, stimulating and safe environment. The Seniors Village includes 139 especially-designed apartments, Assisted Living services for those in need at home or in the new apartments, a long-term care centre serving 450 residents, various respite car

e to help caregivers of family members with dementia, convalescent care, and various on-site health-oriented services. Care for those living with dementia is fully integrated into the Perley Health Seniors Village programs and services including one of Ontario’s first apartment clusters. We have built up expertise in-house and have established a close connection with the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.

Happy Nursing Week!
We are thrilled to continue our 2026 Nursing Week celebrations by introducing another leader. Meet Emily Luck, RPN and one of our BPSO Champions!
Emily’s journey with us began six years ago, shortly after she graduated from Algonquin College’s Practical Nursing Program. Today, she is using her expertise to elevate the standard of care for the residents she supports.
As a BPSO (Best Practice Spotlight Organization) Champion, Emily uses evidence-based guidelines to better understand the "why" behind a resident’s needs.
"My training helps me and my colleagues assess the 'why' when supporting a resident," she says.
Emily’s training allows her to catch the subtle details that make a big difference. She doesn’t just follow guidelines - she leads by example, encouraging her colleagues to embrace BPSO initiatives to create a better environment at Perley Health.

We are proud to launch our 2026 BPSO Champion Profile Series, highlighting the incredible staff members who bridge the gap between world-class research and bedside care.
First up in our spotlight is Muniba Ali, a Registered Nurse and Skin and Wound Care (NSWOC) Candidate who has been a vital part of the Perley Health team since 2019.

Muniba’s mission is clear: turning Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs) into daily action. Whether she is using the Braden Scale to prevent pressure injuries or mentoring students from our Algonquin College Living Classroom, Muniba is a leader in evidence-based practice.
