Message for the PAG department at the university of Ottawa, if interested in an elective in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology :
The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) rotation with the University of Ottawa is based out of various locations in Ottawa, primarily at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
A typical week with PAG consists of
2 PAG clinics at CHEO, 1 full day of adolescent OB and contraception at St. Mary's Home, 1-2 adult gynecology clinics (lots of transition patients from CHEO, endo-gyne cases such as POI, Turner, PCOS, amenorrhea and Mullerian anomalies), 1 adult contraception clinic and a variety of other clinics to complete the week. There is usually 1 OR day per month at CHEO. You are scheduled to do 1 in 3 home call for PAG at CHEO and are welcome to come in on other nights/weekends to operate if you wish.
