Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) for a powerful performance of Women of Canada.

Through storytelling and theatre, the play highlighted the life of a remarkable Canadian woman who courageously stood up for women’s rights — advocacy that helped shape the history of our country. It was both inspiring and moving, sparking reflection, conversation, and pride in the progress made possible by strong women.

Our residents truly enjoyed this enriching experience and the opportunity to connect with an important chapter of Canada’s past. Thank you to CFUW for sharing such an impactful performance with our community. 💐

We celebrate the incredible Personal Support Workers who fill our home with compassion, patience, and kindness every single day.

You are the gentle hands that help, the listening ears, the comforting smiles, and the familiar faces our residents trust and cherish. The care you give goes far beyond tasks; it’s the love, respect, and dignity you bring into each moment that truly makes our place feel like home.

Thank you for all that you do, for the big moments and the small ones, and for caring from the heart. Our residents, families, and team are so grateful for you today and always! 💐

We were pleased to welcome Seniors Solutions to present their Seeing Their World: Understanding Dementia presentation to our residents, families, and staff.

This gentle and engaging session offered a real-life look at dementia, focusing on the lived experiences of the person and those who care for them. We explored how dementia can affect memory, communication, and daily life, and why certain behaviours may happen.

Most importantly, the presentation emphasized compassionate, practical ways to respond, shifting from correction to connection, and learning how to truly meet someone where they are.

We can’t change their life, but we can change their moment.

We were absolutely delighted today by a beautiful performance from The Nepean Songsters! 🎶

Their wonderful voices, energy, and passion truly brightened our day and brought so many smiles to our residents. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today, we celebrate the incredible women who fill our lives with love, strength, wisdom, and endless care.

To all the moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, and mother figures: thank you for everything you do, today and every day.

What a wonderful time we had yesterday celebrating at our Mother's Day Brunch with our residents and families! It was a beautiful way to honour the amazing mothers in our community.
