Holding the World with Steady Hearts 🌿
March Teaching Theme
with Devinder Kaur
March is a month of transition. Winter hasn’t fully released its grip, yet the first signs of spring begin to appear.
In yoga and Ayurveda, this in-between time asks us to cultivate steadiness, resilience, and compassionate awareness.
Many of us are feeling the weight of the world right now—through global uncertainty, personal stress, and the pace of modern life. Our yoga practice can become a place to pause, breathe, and reconnect to inner strength.
This month in my classes, we will explore how to stay open-hearted without becoming overwhelmed.
Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Patanjali and the Yoga Sutras, we will practice cultivating sthira (steadiness) and sukha (ease)—the balance that allows us to remain present even in challenging times.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, March marks the transition from Vata to Kapha season, a time when the body and mind benefit from:
🌿 Grounding and reconnecting with breath
🌿 Building strength without tension
🌿 Cultivating compassion for ourselves and others
🌿 Renewing energy as we move toward spring
Yoga reminds us that while we cannot always change the world around us, we can strengthen how we meet it.
Join me this month at PranaShanti Yoga Centre as we practice together and learn to hold the world with steady hearts.
