Kanata Chiropractor's Office

Kanata Chiropractor's Office Our providers have been providing chiropractic and massage to patients in the Ottawa and surrounding regions. Looking forward to seeing how we can help you.

After earning his undergrad degree from McMaster University, Dr. Usmani attended Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He graduated in 2012 and joined one of the busiest clinics in all of Ottawa established since 1987. Since then, he has traveled all over North America training with some of the best chiropractors and leaders. Dr. Usmani is passionate about serving the natural healthcare needs of

patients of all ages and from different walks of life. He cares for patients ranging from an infant, young adults, avid athletes or an active senior. “As chiropractic is a universally applicable approach to health, people of all ages can benefit from it.”

To help his patients achieve optimal spinal health, Dr. Usmani uses the Diversified approach to manual adjusting, as well as an Activator that employs an instrument to deliver a gentle adjustment. He also uses exercises and muscle release techniques when appropriate. Seeing people get out of pain is extremely rewarding. However, his real passion lies in analyzing and correcting abnormal curves of the spine conservatively without surgery or other interventions. “With chiropractic, nutrition and other healthy lifestyle habits, there is much that we can do ourselves to maintain and improve our health before we get into a crisis.”

It's easy to book your 1st appointment. Give us a call or text at (613) 809-6386 and Sarah will be more than happy to walk you through the process. You can also use Facebook or WhatsApp to to send us a message.

Cervicogenic vertigo is a condition that causes both neck pain and dizziness. Cervical vertigo is a specific type of vertigo in which dizzy sensations are related to neck injury or inflammation.

Cervical vertigo symptoms vary from person to person. They may include: dizziness, posture changes, balance issues, nausea and vomiting, neck pain or tightness, or headaches.

Anytime your cervical spine develops an issue or sustains an injury, dizziness and other symptoms can occur. Possible causes include: neck trauma, arthritis, poor posture, injured disks, inflammation, joint issues, or muscle strain.

Different types of headaches are managed differently.

Not everyone will respond to the same treatments, even for the same types of headaches.

If you’re experiencing headaches you cannot treat on your own, speak with a doctor about putting together a treatment plan.

You can expect your headache diagnosis to begin with a physical exam and medical history. If possible, keep a “headache journal” in the weeks leading up to your doctor’s appointment.

Text neck is a repetitive stress injury where excessive texting or mobile device use is believed to be the primary cause.

Muscles in the neck, chest, and upper back can become deconditioned and imbalanced due to prolonged forward head posture.

Move the phone (and other devices) up closer to eye level so the head does not have to be tilted forward.

Spend some time away from the phone—or any type of head-forward posture. If needed, use an alarm or app to set automatic reminders to take breaks from handheld devices.

Coccydynia refers to any type of persistent tailbone pain. Performing specific stretches may help to relieve tension in the tailbone.

Acute coccydynia typically resolves within weeks or months. However, tailbone pain can become chronic, if instability, soft tissue strain and inflammation aren't treated.
