Vision care for Indigenous children in Canada is still out of reach for many, despite urgent needs and clear calls to action.

The Indigenous Children’s Eye Examination (ICEE) Project, founded by Dr. Kourosh Sabri and coordinated nationally by Dr. Yasmin Jindani, is working to change that by bringing eye exams, free glasses, telemedicine follow-up, and local training directly to remote communities.

Since 2019, ICEE has reached over 1,000 children, yet its future is at risk without sustainable funding.
