Dr Bonaparte and The Ottawa Derm Centre is a full service cosmetic center offering a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical methods of facial rejuvenation. The goal of this Facebook sight is to post insightful articles, topics of conversation and reviews of new scientific evidence. Primary surgeon, Dr James P. Bonaparte, MD, MSc, FRCSC is a Facial Cosmetic Surgeon and a Head and Neck Surgeon who has received a number of awards for both his surgical skills as well as his academic achievements. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has completed a prestigious fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Training Dr James P. Bonaparte has trained and worked with some of the most accomplished Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in North America. He completed a fellowship specializing in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery with one of only two approved fellowships in Canada by the prestigious American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. During this time, he worked with one of the top Facial Plastic Surgeons in North America, Dr David Ellis. Dr James P. Bonaparte is considered an expert in the use of Botox, having performed some of the highest quality research in the world on the topic. He is an expert in Rhinoplasty surgery, Face Lifts, Neck Lifts, Eyebrow and Forehead Lifts, Scar Revisions, Ear Surgery as well as many other aspects of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As an Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon, Dr James P. Bonaparte’s training and experience has focused solely on the Face and the Head and Neck. As a result of this, patients can expect a very specialized, inclusive and holistic approach to their surgery. Dr James P. Bonaparte understands that not only do you want to look your best, but you want to feel and function at your best. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, Dr James P. Bonaparte is responsible for teaching and training Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery to surgical residents and medical students in Ottawa. He has been invited to teach and present research findings at both national and international meetings. He is considered an expert in issues regarding facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and is thus responsible for reviewing other surgeons’ articles for the Journal of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The Cleveland Clinic Medical Journal. Dr James P. Bonaparte has been featured as an expert in Facial Plastics and Reconstructive surgery in articles for both the CBC and The Ottawa Citizen. Dr James P. Bonaparte has quickly become a respected researcher in the field of facial plastic surgery, cosmetic facial surgeon and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has won numerous international research awards including the prestigious John Orlando Roe Award in 2014. This award is given yearly by the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery to the surgical fellow who produces the top facial plastic surgery research paper. In 2013, he was awarded the Kris Conrad Merit Award given yearly by the University of Toronto to a young Facial Plastic Surgeon who distinguishes themselves by achieving the highest level of expertise in the performance of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr James P. Bonaparte was very grateful and humbled by both these awards. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Poliquin Resident Research Award given to the Canadian Head and Neck Surgical resident who produces the top research paper in Canada. Dr James P. Bonaparte’s achievements date back to 2000 when we was awarded the prestigious Rehabilitation and Engineering Society of North America’s Research and Design Competition award in Orlando, Florida. Dr James P. Bonaparte prides himself on producing cutting edge and high quality research. He believes that conducting this research allows him to both advance the field of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and to ensure he stays current and a part of a quickly advancing and ever evolving field. Patient Centered Care Dr James P. Bonaparte believes in a new style of Cosmetic Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a Patient Centered approach. This style of medicine is very different than that which was promoted in the past. Dr James P.
