You should not have to go through this heartbreak three times before someone starts looking for answers 🤍

I see this far too often. Patients experiencing the unimaginable pain of pregnancy loss, only to be told that nothing can be done unless there are three consecutive miscarriages.

Recently, I met with someone after two losses. Instead of waiting, we took a closer look and identified three different factors that may have been increasing her risk for another loss.

In many cases, these are not things you simply have to accept. There are often modifiable factors and meaningful steps that can be taken to support a healthier pregnancy.

If you have experienced loss, you deserve answers. You deserve to feel supported. And you deserve a plan that helps you move forward with clarity and confidence from preconception through to postpartum.
I will always advocate for earlier answers and better support 🤍

One of the most overlooked pieces in recurrent pregnancy loss is the male side of the equation.

It is not uncommon to see a “normal” semen analysis, yet still be missing deeper factors that can influence embryo quality and early development.

There are a few key parameters that are often not included in initial assessments, but can provide meaningful insight when we are trying to understand why pregnancy is not progressing as expected.

The important part is that many of these factors can be addressed once identified.

If you have been navigating miscarriage, failed transfers, or unexplained fertility challenges, this is an area worth exploring a little more closely.

Comment “Test” and I will send you a full breakdown of what to look for and how these are typically assessed

So many have the will, but finding the way can feel overwhelming and uncertain. 🤍
Fertility journeys can bring moments where it feels like you are expected to have all the answers, yet the path forward is not always clear. The truth is, some challenges are not meant to be faced alone.
With the right support, guidance, and care, clarity begins to take shape. What once felt heavy and uncertain can become more manageable, one step at a time.
You do not have to navigate this on your own. We are here to walk alongside you, to support you, and to help you move forward with confidence and hope 🤍

The fertility journey is often filled with uncertainty 🤍 There are moments where you truly do not know how things will unfold or where the path will lead.
But what I see every single day is something far more powerful ✨
I see patients showing up for themselves 💪
With faith 🙏
With hope 🌱
With a deep, unshakeable desire to grow their family 👶
That kind of strength is not always visible from the outside, but it is there! 🤍 Quiet, persistent, and incredibly resilient.
It is something I never take for granted.
Being a part of this journey is something I carry with a deep sense of responsibility. It profoundly shapes how I show up everyday, with the goal of making the process feel more supportive, more grounded, more healing and as smooth as possible for every person I work with.
To anyone walking this path right now, your strength is real, and it matters more than you know 🤍

Treatment plans should support you, not burden you 🤍
With the rising cost of living, making healthy choices is becoming more difficult. Recent data suggests that over 80% of Canadians are relying more on lower cost, processed options, not by choice, but from necessity.

This is why flexibility matters. Your treatment plan should reflect your reality, not add more stress to it.

For some, that means prioritizing the most impactful pieces of care.
For others, it means finding more cost conscious options or adjusting timelines.
And sometimes, it means focusing on foundational habits like nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management, which can be incredibly powerful when done well. 🌿

There is always a balance between what is ideal and what is feasible. My role is to help you find that balance in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable.

Because care only works if it is something you can actually maintain 🤝

Most people think more abstinence = better s***m
But the research provides a more detailed understanding 👇

S***m are constantly being produced, and how long they are stored can impact how they function. While longer abstinence can increase s***m count, it has also been associated with reduced motility and higher DNA fragmentation.

On the other hand, shorter intervals may support better s***m function, especially when it comes to motility and DNA integrity

This is particularly relevant in the context of IVF and IUI, where s***m quality plays a key role in fertilization and embryo development 🧬

That said, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. The right strategy depends on your individual testing, history, and treatment plan 🤍

Always review any changes with your fertility healthcare team before adjusting timing. Information shared here is for education, not medical advice nor treatment. ⚠️

You are allowed to take up space in your care. 🤍
Navigating fertility care can feel overwhelming at times. There are so many decisions, so much information, and often a lot of uncertainty along the way.

One of the most important things you can do during this process is find your voice as a patient.

Your care should never feel like something that is simply happening to you. You deserve to understand what is being recommended, why it is being recommended, and what your options are moving forward.

It is okay to ask questions.
It is okay to ask for more clarity.
It is okay to want a deeper understanding of your test results.
It is okay to explore alternative approaches if things are not going the way you hoped.
It is okay to advocate for further assessment if something feels like it has not been fully explored.

This is not being difficult. This is being engaged in your care.

We also know that when patients feel heard, supported, and involved in decision making, outcomes improve. Studies consistently show that strong patient practitioner relationships are linked to higher treatment adherence, better satisfaction, and greater confidence in care.

Fertility treatment is not one size fits all. It should reflect both your medical history and your personal preferences.

You deserve to feel comfortable asking questions. And you deserve to be working with a healthcare team that is equally comfortable answering them.

If you ever feel unsure, that is not something to ignore. It is something to explore.

Infertility is often described as stressful
But for many, it can feel much deeper than that 💔

This study found that a significant number of fertility patients experience symptoms consistent with trauma, especially when challenges build over time and when support is limited.

This does not mean everyone will experience this,
But it highlights something important…

Your emotional experience during fertility treatment matters just as much as the physical side 🤍

If you are going through this right now, you are not alone, reaching out to have the support you need during this time is critical! 💕

Some seasons of life feel heavier than others.

Lately I have been reminded how many people are quietly carrying so much. The infertility journey itself can already feel overwhelming. Add caring for loved ones, work responsibilities, uncertainty about the future, and the weight of everything happening in the world, and it can feel like too much to hold alone.

Every day in clinic I meet incredibly strong people doing their best while navigating challenges most others never see.

While I may not have a solution for every difficulty life brings, what I can promise is this. You do not have to carry everything by yourself.

My role is to help support you through the parts of the journey where guidance, care, and thoughtful solutions can make things feel a little lighter.

If life has been feeling harder lately, that is often the moment when reaching out for support matters most. Having the right people around you can make an enormous difference.

You deserve support, understanding, and a care team that walks alongside you on the path toward your goals. 🤍

A few times a day I pause and feel deeply grateful for the work we get to do. Caring for the people who trust us with their hopes and health is something I never take for granted.
If we can make your day meaningfully better and brighter, even in a small way, then we are doing what matters most. Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you.

🚨 A highly processed diet was linked to more than 3 times the risk of elevated S***m DNA fragmentation/damage, a marker that can dramatically impact fertility.
In contrast, a plant forward pescatarian style pattern was associated with significantly lower risk.
But this is not about perfection and definitely not about fear or shame.

Healthy change is just the tip of the iceberg.
What truly creates transformation is making those changes sustainable, realistic, and personal to your life.
Sustainable dietary and lifestyle improvements happen when we meet the unspoken or identified needs that make change feel hard in the first place. Time. Stress. Habits. Culture. Emotional load. Burnout.

This is a gentle process that supports and empowers rather than minimizes the difficulty of doing things differently.
And each journey is unique.

For many, it becomes a beautiful opportunity to understand yourself better, care for yourself more deeply, and build health that lasts far beyond fertility alone.

Small but realistic steps to help deliver lasting impact. 🌱

If you feel you would benefit from support on this journey and process, we are here for you. 💚

Grateful and genuinely excited to have been invited as a Guest Speaker for an Educational Seminar on Endometriosis and Infertility, hosted by the and the Obstetric, Gynaecological and New Born Care Department 💙

Moments like this reflect my core philosophy of patient care coming to life. When conventional medicine and naturopathic care intersect, we create space for evidence informed, integrative care that truly serves patients.

Endometriosis and infertility are complex journeys. Patients deserve thoughtful assessment, collaboration, and access to a team that communicates and works together in their best interest.

I am honoured to be part of a collective effort focused on removing barriers, strengthening collaboration, and raising the bar for the care and support our patients deserve 🌱

Thank you to the incredible teams who continue to lead with curiosity, compassion, and commitment to better outcomes for patients 👏🏼💫
