Winter is here and it is a great season to start your vein treatments. If you were waiting for a sign, this is it!

A few points to remind you why doing it now would be beneficial:

- Besides visual improvements, treating veins before the summer can reduce any discomfort and fatigue allowing you to be ready to enjoy your favourite outdoor activities when the weather warms up.

- No Compression Socks in the summer! At our clinic we highly recommend wearing compression socks during the treatment period. Wearing them during the winter would keep your legs healthy, but also nice and warm 🙂 🧦

- This is the time to think about You 🤍 Your health and comfort is the priority ✨

Dr. Celeste Collins completed her medical degree at McMaster University in 2017, as well as her Family Medicine residency at the UOttawa, graduating in 2019. Dr. Collins received training in Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy and is a valuable part of The Willow Vein Clinic. She also continues to practice family medicine in the Ottawa area.

When is the best time to treat varicose veins? The answer is now!

While it’s true that varicose and spider vein treatments can be done at any time in the year, late winter to the beginning of spring is the best time to start treatments. Why?

🤍 Your confidence will increase. Many of our patients shared that having varicose or spider veins tends to make them feel insecure about the appearance of their legs, especially when they are exposed during warmer seasons. With sclerotherapy treatments you will regain the confidence to wear whatever you’d like, whenever you want.

🤍 You will have results before summer! Besides appearance improvements, treating veins before summer starts can reduce any sensations of burning, soreness, or discomfort allowing you to enjoy your favourite outdoor activities when the weather warms up.

🤍 At The Willow Vein Clinic we highly encourage wearing compression socks, especially after your treatments. Wearing them during the winter keeps your legs healthy, but also nice and warm 🧦
