Many often seek our assistance & guidance in understanding the injuries they are grappling with.

The term “mental and moral injuries” is frequently used in these discussions.

However, what does this term truly encompass?

To clarify, we describe it as an umbrella.

The rain represents the everyday present struggles.

The roof of the umbrella is the broader label (PTSD/OSI).

Beneath the umbrella are other labels (anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD).

The stem of the umbrella represents the root cause.

The closer one is to the handle of the umbrella, the more actively engaged one becomes in healing, recovery and personal growth.

Illustrations without words can often accurately depict the experiences we go through. It is in these moments that a client realizes their clinician truly understands them.

We are sending out a reason why we’ve been absent. Defending our presence requires time and energy , and it took most of our “spoons” away . As we continue to fight our significance in the mental health industry , we will resume our vision, mission and value regardless .

As it’s Friday, we are sharing the following numbers for anyone who may require a little more TLC over the weekend.

As we prepare to celebrate 10 years of being open, we are pleased to announce that our posts will continue to share insights between your sessions.

EECS has continued to grow through challenges and change, realigning its purpose as it did 10 years ago.

“As a business owner and CEO of EECS, the growth has brought valuable lessons, some of which have been utilized . However ,each obstacle has taught us that many will attempt to undermine us, but our perseverance has built strength from every hardship.” .shahofficial

As we adjust our sails, so will our posts.

DISCLAIMER :
As we grow, we change, and when change occurs, we adjust our approach.

In 2026, we will be navigating social media differently. Disclaimers will be placed at the end of every post.

Every obstacle presents a lesson. How we choose to apply those lessons can take various paths.

Transparency has been EECS practice since 2016, and it remains unchanged.

However, when we share lived experiences, those who have harmed us will often attempt to silence us.

We have never navigated our clinic in that manner, and we will never do so.

Scholarly and trained experiences have taught us significant dynamics of power and control. Our certification and training in narcissistic behaviour of others helped us find safer spaces and guide our business’s direction. Clinicians also need safe spaces.

We all deserve a space on social media.

We all deserve to express our truth, especially in a democratic society.

We all deserve to feel our emotions.

When we recognize these fundamental rights, we are within our legal rights to share.

Disclaimers serve as a safeguard for our hard work, words, images, ideas and creations.

Disclaimers help create safe spaces that are non-judgmental, free from bigotry, discrimination, hatred, racism and other forms of prejudice. They foster inclusivity.

Disclaimers also prevents any further legal action.

As we have previously stated, how you interpret our posts and how you perceive their delivery is subjective. It is no longer a matter of fact.

This past week or so has been heavy and sometimes our rawest emotions carry no words .
So sharing a space where emojis and sitting in silence is okay . When we know we are not okay, words don’t always need to be spoken. Non-verbal cues or emojis also share where you are at. It’s time we all listen.
