Ottawa! The Aunties are so excited to announce that we will be offering a 2-part Indigenous Full Spectrum Doula training here in Ottawa!
We are accepting 30 participants, and as always, participation is free! Open to Community members from across Turtle Island, this 2 part, 5 day training will include culturally safe, trauma informed approaches and teachings from across the life spectrum that will offer tangible ways to further support Indigenous life experiences in meaningful and practical ways. Whether you are looking to find community or build a career, our trainings have a little something for everyone!
As always our trainings offer inclusive spaces and are open to folks of any gender and identity🧡

On Friday October 10th, the Aunties will be hosting a family friendly introduction to the Sweatlodge Ceremony with Aunty Elaine at Madahoki Farms. This afternoon session is intended for all ages, 1-100 and beyond! but children will need to be able to walk into the lodge on their own to participate.
Families with babies are welcome to join as we will have helpers outside the lodge to participate and hold witness. Please note, the farm is a public, working farm and parents will be responsible for their children at all times.
There will be a light catered meal with refreshments afterwards, but registration is required!
Please email us at auntiesontheroad@minlodge.com to register! Unfortunately we cannot register you through DMs for this event. Miigwetch for understanding!
Parking is available onsite, and we will be located at the lodge, past the barn.

Day 4 of our Indigenous Full spectrum Doula Training in Kenhte:ke saw us practicing our consent in care during our Labour, Birth and Postpartum sessions.
We spent the day immersed in ways to support physiological birth as well as best practices for supporting surgical options.

Day 1 and 2 are done for our training in Kenhteke Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and the Aunties are beyond grateful to have spent the last few days grounding in our roles as Aunties, helpers, doulas and support people with the Community.
Miigwetch to all of our participants for actively committing to creating an inclusive and safe space to Witness one other growing our bundles in a good way as we dive into the remainder of our week together
