The Canadian Medical Cannabis Council (CMCC) represents stakeholders who are committed to the highest standards in safety, quality, research, and accessibility within Canada’s medical cannabis industry. CMCC believes that these standards are best achieved through the adoption of a Code of Ethics (Code) that requires stakeholders to act with the utmost integrity and professionalism in all aspects o

f their conduct. The introduction of the Ma*****na for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) transformed the way in which medical cannabis is authorized, produced, and distributed in Canada. By adopting a self-regulatory framework through the enactment of a Code of Ethics premised on integrity and professionalism, the CMCC is working to ensure that the medical cannabis industry is not vulnerable to ethical lapses.

Acceptance of medical cannabis took another step forward with the announcement of WorkSafeNB’s stakeholder consultation on a new policy on using ma*****na for medical purposes.
