The Wreck Room Ever just wanted to destroy something? She had been fighting for almost 3 years. This business concept came to be because of her.

The Wreck Room is a mental health service where you can release your stress, anxiety or pent up energy on an array of items such as plates, tables, printers, glassware and more! How the Concept Came to Be

In 2012, one of the co-founder's mothers was in the fight of her life with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She had gone through 3 setbacks since the beginning of her fight and in the end, she had learned that the cancer had spread to her brain and she had 2 tumors. Upon learning this, the anger and rage of how this disease is destroying her, welled up in the owner and all they wanted to do was take a sledge hammer to their house, go outside and destroy their car, rip apart their sofas, break all their dishes, etc. Of course they knew that actions like that would not be possible without severe consequences. They could go to a counselor (and pay the $75 – $150 an hour price tag) or punch their husband’s punching bag, but in their mind they needed to destroy something the way Cancer was destroying their mother. Or so they thought..

“Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just go somewhere and smash something – LEGALLY?”

Hence, in 2012, the idea for The Smash Room (now "The Wreck Room") was born!
