🥳Happy New Year everyone! Asking everyone to share this in my local network.

⭐️ Especially to those who have lived experience with cancer, no matter where you are in that journey! This is one of my programs I offer at the cancer support center. It is a professionally developed program created and tailored to those who have experience with cancer.

💗We share laughs, stories, creativity, snacks and sometimes tears but definitely meaningful connection.

Reflecting on the recent conference, I am struck by the powerful connections made and the sense of hope that permeated the event. The opportunity to engage with remarkable professionals and caregivers was truly enriching. I am thankful for the new relationships formed and the professional networks established, as well as the profound impact the presentations had on my personal growth, particularly in regards to my parental relationships and healing journey ❤️‍🩹.

AMD Art Therapy Update :

Recently I was denied LCT -C in New Brunswick as my program in Art Therapy as a graduate program did not meet the criteria for licensing. Not only is this a huge disappointment for me as a mental health professional, and for the community of art therapists, but especially those trying to access mental health with alternative therapies. Art Therapy is such a valuable resource for so many, however not having access to bill through insurance has put up a barrier. Especially for the many people who were waiting for this opportunity to be able to have access to my art therapy services. In a time of mental health crisis, this decision doesn’t seem fair. I am finding any way I can to be able to provide Art therapy for disenfranchised populations, so I will remain positive that my reach will be broad, but I will not stop advocating.

At this time I have decided to close my office and focus on community partnerships. If you are interested in 1-1 therapy sessions please connect with me and we can find a way to make it work for you.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me over the past year. I am beyond grateful and this is not the end for this, there are just next steps that need to happen !
