❤️🌱We are proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Saint John as the chosen nonprofit charitable organization for A Black Tie Affair 2026.
It is a truly inspiring force in our community—quietly changing lives in the most meaningful way. Through compassion, consistency, and connection, they create spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow into their fullest potential.
Their work doesn’t just impact individuals—it strengthens families, uplifts communities, and builds a brighter future for everyone.
💙 A few meaningful highlights:
Each year, they support approximately 400 local youth, many facing adversity and in need of a consistent, caring presence.
They offer both in-person and virtual mentoring programs, making support more accessible than ever.
Every match is thoughtfully paired and continuously supported, ensuring lasting, impactful relationships.
“The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to foster life-changing mentoring relationships that ignite the power and potential within young people across Saint John, Kings, and Charlotte County. Our vision is a future where every young person realizes their full potential. Through in-person and virtual one-to-one community-based and in-school mentoring programs, and dynamic group mentorship opportunities, we remain deeply committed to supporting the growth and development of youth. Each year, we serve approximately 400 young people—many facing adversity and in need of a consistent, supportive developmental relationship.
We thoughtfully match each young person with a carefully screened and trained volunteer mentor, and provide ongoing guidance and support to the mentor, mentee, and their family throughout the life of the match. The impact of this work is far-reaching, contributing to stronger communities through improved social-emotional skills, better mental health and well-being, and greater educational engagement and employment readiness.
With the support of the community, we can reach more young people, build more meaningful relationships, and create lasting change in our communities. Together, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.”
