North End Wellness Centre The NEW-C is a community health and wellness center for individuals and families living in Anglin Drive, Crescent Valley and the Old North End.

The North End Wellness Centre is a satellite of St Joseph’s Community Health Centre and a pilot for an integrated and neighbourhood-based model of care. The NEW-C health team includes two Nurse Practitioners, a Community Development Nurse, Community Connector, administrative support and access to a dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health and Addiction worker, Certified Diabetes Educator, social worker and pharmacist. Residents are seen by appointment only. The NEW-C’s team is committed to working together with diverse community and government partners to ensure access to primary care for the residents of North End.

Our Story

The North End Wellness Centre (NEW-C) is a health centre for Saint John’s North End residents. The NEW-C health team includes two Nurse Practitioners (Angela and Shannon), two Community Development Nurses (Joanne and Jill), a Community Navigator (Tanya), administrative support (Laura Lee), Mental Health and Addiction worker (Evan) and Certified Diabetes Educator (Bonita), with access to a dietitian, Occupational Therapist, social worker and pharmacist from St. Joseph’s Community Health Centre. Residents are seen by appointment only. The NEW-C’s team is committed to working together with diverse community and government partners to ensure access to primary care as well as social supports for the residents of North End.
